What adding to the home screen means
Dukat.bet on the home screen is not a classic application. You launch the browser page with its own icon and a full-screen interface, with no download. This is called a web app, PWA for short.
In practice it is the best of both worlds. You get the app-like launch, but it takes up less space than a store app, and you do not have to keep updating it.
Since you install nothing into the system, removing it leaves no trace. The icon is a quick launcher, nothing more.
Why it only works from Safari
On iOS, saving to the home screen is tied to Safari. In another browser, the Share menu does not offer the same option, so always start the process in Safari.
This is not a limitation, just how iOS works. The good news is that Safari is preinstalled on every iPhone and iPad, so there is nothing to install in advance.
If Chrome or another browser is your usual choice, no problem: for the install, open the site in Safari once, and after that you can launch from the icon however you like.
Installing step by step on iPhone
Follow the points in order. The process takes less than half a minute and asks for no special permission.
- Open Safari, do not use another browser.
- Go to the Dukat.bet site by typing the address, and wait for the full load.
- Tap the Share icon, the upward arrow in a square, at the bottom centre.
- Scroll down the list and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Edit the name or keep the default, then tap Add.
- Close Safari and check the home screen: the new icon is already there.
From then on the site launches from the icon, without the browser bar. Your sign-in stays the same as in Safari.
If you do not see the right option straight away in the Share menu, scroll further down the list of actions. You can even pin frequently used items under Edit Actions, so they are up front next time.
What the home-screen icon gives you
Launching from an icon gives a few small benefits that add up in daily use.
- Fast start: one tap instead of typing the address.
- Cleaner view: no browser bar, on a fuller screen.
- Its own place: you can file it in a folder among your favourites.
- Easy removal: the icon comes off without a trace when you no longer need it.
In return you give up nothing, because the Safari tab remains available as a fallback entry.
What is different on iPad
On iPad the steps are identical; only the position of the Share icon may differ. In portrait view you usually find it at the top, near the address bar, and in landscape in the upper bar.
Because of the larger screen the list is clearer too, so you quickly find Add to Home Screen. The icon launches as a standalone web app, just as on iPhone.
If you use several browsers on iPad, Safari is the key here as well. Do the install in Safari, and afterwards the icon stays on the home screen in the usual way, regardless of what you use otherwise.
A checklist at the end
A quick tick that everything is in place.
| Check | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Icon | A Dukat.bet icon on the home screen |
| Launch | Without the browser bar, on a fuller screen |
| Sign-in | The same account as in Safari |
If all three match, you are done. The icon can be moved, filed in a folder, and removed from the home screen at any time.
A quick test launch settles every question. Open the icon, sign in, and check that the interface appears full screen, without the browser bar. If it does, the web app behaves exactly as it should.
If you get stuck
The most common obstacle is that you are not using Safari, or the page has not loaded fully.
- Check that Safari is really the browser open.
- Reload the page and wait for the full load.
- If the menu stutters, clear Safari's cache.
- Close the private window, because it sometimes hides the option.
In rare cases the Share menu shows a short list. Then, under Edit Actions, enable or move Add to Home Screen forward, and next time it will be right there.
If the trouble persists, you will find more solutions on the performance issues page. For the general iOS experience, we write on the iOS overview page.
Bonus and editor's note
Installing does not change the offer: the 15% cashback, with no welcome bonus, belongs to your account the same way from Safari and from the icon. You can review the terms on the account and registration page.
In short: Safari's Share menu is a few taps, and the standalone icon is ready. There is no App Store download and no installer package, and your account and bonus stay unchanged. If you get stuck once, check Safari and the loading, and the steps work again.
